The KA-BAR BK9 Combat Bowie is the result of a successful collaboration between knife designer Ethan Becker and KA-BAR. The knife is designed to be as strong as possible and you can tell that by its weight. This knife can definitely take a beating! The blade is made of 1095 carbon steel, which does not make it stainless. Luckily, the blade has a black coating making maintenance a lot easier.

V happy with this, bought for bushcraft along with mora companion and garberg. This bk9 is a great single-tool-does-everything solution if you want to take just one thing ie chop/cut/baton with enough heft for chopping. The bk9 is designed for bushcraft but the only minus for me is it still looks a bit pointy/military/threatening which can be counterproductive, and is not something you would routinely carry unless planning to use, but is a great tool.
