Magnetic knife block made of thermo-beechwood for maximum six knives.


This designer knife block by Wüsthof is made of brown thermo-beechwood. The thermally treated beechwood is immune to stretching and shrinking. The wood is 'baked' at a temperature between 180 and 220 degrees, which causes this dark, chic look. Because of this treatment the wood is completely impregnated so it becomes immune to water.  
  


6 knives can be placed in this knife block. The block can be placed in both length and width. It can also be hung on the wall or just stand on the kitchen counter.

Hartstikke mooi en een hoog kwaliteit.  Ik moest wel een beetje wenen aan hoe ik de messen in en uit moet krijgen maar het staat mooi en neemt weinig ruimte in beslag.

Fraai design. Hangt mooi, was zo gebeurd. Inwendig magneet is super sterk. Met combikorting heel goede prijs.

Het is een prachtig afgewerkt blok. Gewicht van het blok is prima voor wat kleinere messen. Voor degene die het blok graag meer stevigheid geven of het op willen hangen zitten er aan de achterkant gaten om hem zowel horizontaal als verticaal aan de muur te hangen.

Helaas voldeed het blok niet aan mij verwachting in combinatie met 23+ cm messen. De magneten in het blok zijn zo sterk bij grote messen dat het blok met gemak omgetrokken kan worden bij het uitnemen van een mes. In combinatie met andere messen die dan in het blok zitten is dit niet zonder gevaar. Ook moet je het blok bij het wegstoppen van een mes stevig vasthouden omdat het mes er niet makkelijk 'in glijdt'. Beschadiging en bekrassing van de messen behoren dus tot een mogelijk probleem.

Helaas om die redenen heb ik zelf het blok terug moeten sturen.
