The **Zero Tolerance 0095BW** is tough, stylish and solid. This USA-made knife combines premium materials and a very slim design with a perfect finish. The *0095BW* is based on the limited edition 0095. This came out exclusively for the Russian market in 2015.



## Premium materials, premium finish



The CPM S35VN-steel blade of the ZT0095BW is razor sharp. S35VN is a powder metallurgical steel which can be sharpened to a very sharp result. The handle is made of titanium which makes it nice and low in weight, especially considering its size! The blade and handle have a DLC Blackwash finish. A coating which is scratch-resistant and gives the knife a tough look. A blackwash (or stonewashed) finish is popular among knives for heavy use, because scratches and other damage will hardly be visible.



## More than ‘just’ a beautiful knife


Using the *Zero Tolerance 0095BW* leaves nothing to be desired. It feels really comfortable and opens smoothly via the KVT-ball bearings. The flipper helps flick the blade open, without using a spring. The blade locks in open position by a very solid frame-lock. To prevent the titanium lock-bar to scratch on the steel of the blade, it has a steel insert. This way you’ll have steel-on-steel friction, which doesn’t wear as much. This insert plays a double role as a so-called "overtravelstop". This means that the locking mechanism cannot over stretch during unlocking. The blade is very thinly sharpened which makes it a real *slicer*.

Meteen toen ZT dit model uitbracht, wilde ik 'm hebben. Fantastische vormgeving en kwaliteit, zoals de harpoonvorm van het lemmet, het gebogen handvat van titanium en de blackwashed afwerking. ZT-messen zijn over het algemeen niet goedkoop, maar ze zijn hun geld dubbel en dwars waard. Wat mij vooral imponeert bij de ZT 0095BW is de Flipper actie: je hoeft niet hard te duwen op de Flipper en er is ook geen polsbeweging nodig om het lemmet soepel en snel uit het handvat te laten "vliegen". De detent en de KVT-kogellagers doen hun werk goed. Ook deze ZT is zeer robuust en degelijk gebouwd. Nergens speling. Nergens schoonheidsfoutjes, gewoon prima afgewerkt. Het handvat ligt aangenaam in de hand. Over de levering door knivesandtools kan ik kort zijn: snel en goed, zoals altijd.
