The TOPS Knives Anaconda 9 Hunters Point is a large survival knife, designed by Ron Hood. This legendary designer is famous for his large outdoor knives. And the Anaconda is a perfect example of this.
Due to its size, the TOPS Knives Anaconda can be used in many different ways. Whether you're gutting game or building a shelter, the Anaconda has your back. With its 6.4 mm thick blade made of 1095 carbon steel, the Anaconda can take a beating. This type of steel is already extremely resistant to knocks and shocks, but this becomes all the more apparent at a thickness of 6.4 mm. On the spine of the blade you'll find a number of serrations towards the tip. These are great for notching wood or cutting steel wire. Making notches comes in very handy when you're tying paracord to a standing post, for instance - a small notch helps to keep the paracord from just sliding down the post.
For the handle, TOPS has opted for reliable micarta. This is a composite material made from linen and synthetic resin. It's strong and feels good in hand, even when it's wet.
The TOPS Anaconda comes in a sturdy, MOLLE-compatible sheath with two pockets on the front. Handy for a firesteel and a sharpening stone, for example.
