The **KA-BAR BK9 Combat Bowie** is the result of a successful collaboration between knife designer Ethan Becker and KA-BAR. The knife is designed to be as strong as possible and you can tell that by its weight. This knife can definitely take a beating! The blade is made of 1095 carbon steel, which does not make it stainless. Luckily, the blade has a black coating making maintenance a lot easier.
  
   
 
The sheath that comes with it is made of nylon with a plastic insert and is MOLLE-compatible. The front of the sheath has an extra sheath in which you can put the [Kabar BK13](/en/pt/-ka-bar-becker-remora-bk13cp-neck-knife.htm). This allows you to keep two knives in one sheath.

Des morceaux de la lame sont partis en frappant sur un nœud de bois.
J'avais vu des gars détruire des BK9 sur Youtube, mais ils faisaient n'importe quoi avec, pas ce à quoi cet outil est destiné.
Du coup je dois racheter un couteau... Ce sera avec un autre acier.
Mis à part la qualité de l'acier, donc, c'est un bon format pour le travail lourd. Grace à son poids, il a une vrai inertie pour passer au travers de ce qu'on souhaite couper ou fendre.

Très satisfait du rapport qualité pour ce couteau impressionnant en taille comme en qualité .

V happy with this, bought for bushcraft along with mora companion and garberg. This bk9 is a great single-tool-does-everything solution if you want to take just one thing ie chop/cut/baton with enough heft for chopping. The bk9 is designed for bushcraft but the only minus for me is it still looks a bit pointy/military/threatening which can be counterproductive, and is not something you would routinely carry unless planning to use, but is a great tool.
