The Skerper Paddle Strop is a great stropping paddle of a considerate size. This allows you to strop all kinds of sharp edges: from pocket knives to kitchen knives to chisels and gouges. The size of the paddle make it particularly suitable for larger blades. The core of the paddle is made out of Oriental plane tree wood. A fine wood with a beautiful drawing of small stripes in the grain. On both sides the leather stropping surface is attached. The leather has a very fine finish for an extremely smooth result. The strop is delivered 'plain', without [stropping compound or diamond paste](/en/ct/stropping-accessories.htm). You can choose the one you prefer.


Some people like to slightly roughen the leather before stropping. You can use a wire brush for this. Beware though, damage or wear and tear because of this normally not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
