Watched a video by an American chef praising this knife so ordered one for myself to use as a bread knife as I had recently started making my own loaves. Very sharp which makes it easier to cut a straight line even in a newly baked soft loaf. Bought another two for my daughter's families and they were very happy with the sharp edge. Don't know how long the knife will stay sharp and being serrated I don't think it's possible to sharpen it myself. It is made in two lengths, I just thought the longer one would be more useful. It comes in a flimsy plastic sleeve which soon gets damaged.

This knife cuts through a tough homebaked sourdough loaf. The lack of a sharp point is a neat feature that helps when cutting bread. It's sharp and slightly flexible. It does this particular job better than the Robert Welch bread knife i was using before, although that also still has its uses and remains sharp.
