The Fenix E41 supplies 1000 lumens, working on 4 regular AA-batteries, sized the same as a small coffee cup. It seems unlikely, but the Fenix E41 proves the unthinkable possible. Put this super compact torch in your chest pocket and you can confidently go into the dark season.  
  


You can easily carry the torch with you during nightly adventures and with the strong burst mode (1000 lumens) you can light up the entire scene of a search. Because the E41 can also stand on its back like a candle, you can use it very well during odd jobs or as a reading lamp. The beam range is also good: it is up to 275 meters.  
  


The Fenix E41 can keep shining continuously for up to 4 days. Even after 2,5 hrs submerged in water, the torch still works and it survives a fall of a meter without any occurring issues.

* The indication of the light intensity is according to the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standards. This means that the values may be lower than former values . Naturally, this lower value has no consequence for the light intensity of the torch. The advantage of the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standards is that the values can be compared with each other and give a real picture of the actual light intenstiy.

Mijn eerste LED lamp; tjonge, dat is wel even wat anders t.o.v. de zaklampen van vroeger! Deze lamp gekozen op basis van: afmeting / hoeveelheid licht / prijs / AA batterijen / kwaliteit volgens diverse fora.

Om de krachtigste stand te gebruiken moet de drukknop ingedrukt gehouden worden wat wel een beetje een lamme vinger tot gevolg heeft. Na ong. 2 minuten gaat de lamp ter bescherming terug naar een lagere stand.
Echter, de "gewone" hoogste stand is al veel licht!


Eerst was ik op zoek naar wat duurdere zaklampen maar kwam bij de E41 uit vanwege het gebruik van normale batterijen. Ook de eenvoudige bediening was een voordeel voor me. Stroboscoop heb ik niet nodig en ik wil gewoon drie (of vier) licht standen.  
De lamp ligt lekker in de hand en geeft een enorme bak licht, vaak is de felste stand niet eens nodig.
Is ook mooi en stevig vorm gegeven.

Het enige wat een klein beetje tegenvalt is de spil t.o.v. de spread. Ofwel ik had een iets bredere lichtpunt in het verlichte vlak verwacht. Maar daarvoor heb een lamp met meer leds nodig, en eigenlijk is het ook geen echt probleem.

De E41 staat in de keuken en ik pak hem zeer regelmatig als ik even iets in een wat donkere hoek moet hebben, of als ik achterlangs naar buiten ga. Je steekt hem zo even in je jas- of broekzak. Fijn hebbeding!

Great product, good beam. A little heavy/bulky when compared to torches that run on one or two18650 batteries, but that is the trade off  using 4 widely available AA's.

Product nog te kort in bezit om de ervaringen met de Fenix E41  led zaklamp te beschrijven.
Slechts nog maar twee keer gebruikt om te testen.
De eerste indruk is uitstekend.

Deze lamp is compact maar sterk. Voor mij is het een voordeel dat hij op AA batterijen werkt omdat deze makkelijk verkrijgbaar en toegankelijk zijn. Een handzame maar krachtige lamp waarvan ik na de testen verwacht dat er niet snel een gebrek aan licht zal zijn tijdens het kamperen of nachtelijke (wandel)tochten.
