By introducint the UC40, Fenix has made a flashlight which you can charge practically anywhere. The Li-ion battery, supplied with the torch, can be charged through the standard USB connection. If you end up with an empty battery and no charging cable, you can also use the torch on other types of batteries. For example a single 18650 battery of 2 CR123a batteries.   
   
 At the back of the torch you find the socket for the charging cable. A red/green LED indicates whether the battery should be charged and when it is nearly full.   
   
 All functions of the UC40 are controlled with the switch behind the lamp head. For tactical purposes, you have direct access to the strobe mode, by pressing the switch for 1 second. With a maximum light output of 420 ANSI lumens, you will not fall short of light quickly.

Prima lichtopbrengst, alleen het aan/uit knopje is wat lastig. Was prettig geweest als dit een andere liefst lichtgevende kleur had. 

Zeer goed tevreden, snelle levering en men doet wat men zegt.

Ik heb oorspronkelijk deze lamp gekocht, maar op het laatste moment toch gekozen voor de PD35 van Fenix. Dit om de volgende redenen:

De PD35 heeft een extra knop voor aan/uit. Dit zorgt voor een hoger gebruiksgemak
De accu's lopen na een tijdje leeg. Als je hem, zoals ik, niet vaker dan een keer per maand gebruik is dit niet de beste optie en kunnen beter gewoon lithiumcellen gebruikt worden
De PD35 was iets duurder, maar wel veel feller.
De PD35 heeft een belt clip
De PD35 is iets lichter en kleiner

Het grote voordeel van deze lamp is echter wel de accu. Mocht ik van plan zijn de lamp meer te gebruiken en is de maximale opbrengst genoeg, dan zou ik het zeker overwegen!

Compacte zaklamp die je vlot overal meeneemt. Tot op heden (aankoop was 1 maand terug) ben ik zeer tevreden over de capaciteit van de batterij en ook het opladen gaat vlot. Toestel ligt makkelijk in de hand, enig nadeel is de bedieningsknop. Met handschoenen aan voel je deze niet waardoor het even zoeken is om ofwel de lichtsterkte te veranderen ofwel aan/uit te doen.

Uitstekende lamp. Snelle levering, duidelijke gebruiksaanwijzing. Ideaal voor op donkere platteland en voor verre reizen.
