With the SRT5, Nitecore has made a flashlight which is very suitable for professional use, but also for other activities, like hunting. It uses a XM-L2 T6 LED with a maximum light output of 750 ANSI lumens. In addition, the SRT5 also has a blue and red light mode. This can be used in a continuous mode, but there is also a strobe mode where red and blue light alternate each other.  
   


Red light is used by hunters, in tactical situations and for general outdoor applications. Blue light can be used to detect stains. Also fishermen and hunters make use of blue light for various applications.   
  


All possible output modes can be chosen by means of a swivel ring (SSR: Smart Selector Ring) behind the lamp head. Clear click sounds indicate that the next mode is activated. The light output of the LED is continuously adjustable with the swivel ring. At the back of the flashlight you find the tactical on and off switch.   
  


Around the reflector there is a steel ring, for extra protection of the lamp head.   
  



* The indication of the light intensity is according to the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standards. This means that the values may be lower than former values . Naturally, this lower value has no consequence for the light intensity of the torch. The advantage of the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standards is that the values can be compared with each other and give a real picture of the actual light intenstiy.

Lampe réellement puissante. Aspect robuste. J'aime le clip amovible fourni qui permet de fixer la lampe sur sa casquette. 

Gewoon prima zaklamp. 

Nadeeltje (wat mij betreft): de 18650 accu's (ik heb bergen Eneloop AA accu's liggen). Geeft 'm wel prima verhouding formaat-lichtopbrengst en brandduur.

Om de lichtstand te veranderen moet je je grip op de zaklamp veranderen (of twee handen gebruiken). Maar hij is wel prettig (en traploos!) instelbaar.

De beschikbare lichtstanden vind ik perfect: van ultra-laag tot verblindend. Blauw en vooral rood zijn ook handig 'om te hebben'. 
De Smart Selector Ring loopt soepel genoeg, maar niet té los, zodat de ingestelde stand blijft ook staan als je 'm in de foedraal doet. De diverse 'knipper' standen verwacht ik niet dat ik ooit ga gebruiken, of het moet op en dancefeest zijn waar de stroboscoop defect is :)

Ich habe diese Lampe nach langem Überlegen bestellt, welches denn meine nächste werden soll. Zuerst muß ich allerdings schon festhalten, dass dieses Produkt bereits seit 2 Jahren auf dem Markt ist. Es gibt allerdings ein paar Funktionen, die nur diese Lampe bietet, auf die wir später auch zurückkommen. Die 750 Lumen sind absolut gut geeignet um eine Wohnung zu erleuchten oder ca. 70-80 vor seinem den Weg zu erleuchten. Eingeschaltet wird diese Lampe, wie die meisten, durch einen Knopf auf der Unterseite. Die Steuerung jedoch erfolgt über ein sogenanntes Taktisches Rad, das sich auf der Vorderseite der Lampe befindet. Man kann damit, was ich noch sonst bei keiner anderen Lampe gesehen habe, die Leuchtstärke stufenlos einstellen und auch auf einer Stellung belassen. Das heisst kein Einstellen durch mehrmaliges Drücken und sich dann selbst blenden. Apropos blenden. Wenn man den Ring ganz nach Rechts dreht hat man ein nettes 10Hz Strobe und auf der Linken Seite Rot leutend, Blau leuchtend, Rot/Blau blitzend (würde ich jetzt nicht im Auto verwenden könnte rechtliche Folgen haben) und dann nach das übliche SOS und Beacon. Diese ganzen Funktionen in einer Lampe, noch dazu von Nitecore findet man hier zu einem günstigen Preis. Die Leuchtdauer ist ebenfalls überzeugend. (Ich verwende einen Nitecore 3400 mAh Akku). Ich kann diese Lampe nur weiterempfehlen. Neuere Modelle haben vielleicht ein paar Lumen mehr, dafür aber nicht diese Funktionsvielfalt.

Na de Nitecore P12 voor dit lampje gekozen i.v.m. het traploos dimmen via de ring en dat werkt goed en soepel. Zelf met dikke handschoenen is het kleine maar krachtige lampje goed te bedienen. Blauw/rode lampje voegt geen waarde toe vind ik. Zorgt voor een gaatje in de reflector die waarschijnlijk toch ten koste gaat van een paar lumen lichtsterkte en dat is zonde. Ben heel tevreden door formaat, gebruikersgemak en lichtsterkte. Kwalitatief een goed lampje en daar betaal je dan wel wat meer voor.
Communicatie en afhandeling door knives & tools kan niet sneller. Als het verkeerd gaat, is het doordat ze afhankelijk zijn van de bezorgers. 

De reden dat ik dit product heb gekocht omdat het licht dmv draaien van groot naar klein licht versteld kan worden.
uren heb ik websites gezocht over zaklampen, mijn eerste aankoop was een Fenix dp 32 op de achterkant een drukknop wat veel kracht kostte en dat doorschakelen naar de juiste stand vond ik erg vervelend.

Deze ligt fijn in de hand lekker licht, ik heb hem net dus nog niet echt uitgeprobeerd, tot nu toe ben ik er tevreden over, een nadeel vind ik de stroboscoop stand op het laatste, je schuift zo door en zit gauw in die stand.. en de discolampen rood en blauw knipperend heb ik niks mee.  

Het liefst had ik een lamp met verstelbaar licht dmv schuiven en een sos stand meer niet. maar die kon ik niet vinden.

prima lamp alleen erg duur vind ik een nadeel.
de batterijen heb ik nog niet getest of ze lang meegaan. ben nog in een soort van test fase nu ;-)
