This **Wüsthof Classic Ikon white double serrated bread knife 23 cm** is a real eye catcher. This knife has all characteristic features you would expect from a Wüsthof kitchen knife, but still stands out mainly because of the beautiful, cream-coloured handle. This gives the knife a modern and luxurious touch. The handle is made from Luran. A heat-proof plastic that is also known for its great colour retention and excellent resistance to oils and other chemicals such as salt.

 As the name already suggests the edge has double serrations. As such it will easily cut through the hardest types of bread. The difference with a bread knife with single serrations is immediately obvious. Because of the double serrations the knife will more easily 'take hold' of the bread. As such you are left with beautiful slices of bread, you don't have to apply as much pressure and you don't have to deal with the crumbs!

 As with all Wüsthof collections the blade is made from X50CrMoV15-steel, which is sharpened with laser-precision via the Petec method. A second advantage of the blade is the crop. This doesn't fully run up to the edge, but does clearly separate the handle from the blade. As such sufficient safety is provided, but you can still use the entire edge.
