This Buck 345 Vantage large is an ideal knife for daily use. The knife can be opened using one hand, with either the thumb hole or the flipper. The FRN (fiberglass reinforced nylon) handle makes sure that this knife is lightweight. The design of the pocket clip allows you to wear the pocket knife deep in your trouser pockets. All in all, an ideal EDC-knife.

Zeer goed EDC mes. Is door de goede pocketclip diep in je zak te dragen. De flipper werkt prima al moet je wel een wristflick gebruiken om hem in 1 keer open te krijgen.

Het mes voldoet aan de verwachting ,degelijk en kwalitatief een aanrader 

Gute Verarbeitung, keine scharfe Kanten (außer im Klingenloch)

Sowohl über den Flipper (mit etwas Übung sehr schnell - youtube-tipp) als auch das Loch in der Klinge, welches durch abgeschrägte Griffschalen leicht zu erreichen ist, mit mittlerem Widerstand leicht zu öffnen.
Ebenso leicht zu bedienende Entriegelung.

Griff liegt durch konvexe Schalen sehr gut in der Hand und der Flipper verhindert das Abrutschen der Finger auf die Klinge. Zwar kein Leichtgewicht, aber die Gewichtsverteilung erscheint mir ausgewogen. Durch die leichte Daumenmulde an der Oberseite kann gut Druck auf das Schnittgut ausgeübt werden. Form und Material erinnern offen, als auch geschlossen, an einen Handschmeichler. Die Oberfläche könnte zur Griffsicherheit etwas rauher sein. 

Der am äußersten Ende des Messers angebrachte Clip, der von all meinen Messern die ausgewogenste Spannung hat, lässt das Messer vollständig in der Tasche verschwinden. Man kann ihn leicht für Linkshänder drehen. Sieht fast aus wie ein Kugelschreiber. Die konvexen Schalen tragen in der Tasche kaum auf. Die glatte Oberfläche ermöglicht wiederum ein leichtes aus-der-Tasche-ziehen. 

Die Klinge ist sehr spitz, was ein leichtes Eintauchen in das Schnittgut ermöglicht. Auch ist die Öberfläche und die Schneide der Klinge mit einem leicht gegen die Schnittrichtung gestellten Schliff versehen. Wirkt wohl beim Schneiden wie eine Verzahnung, Leider verkratzt die so gemaserte Oberfläche gerne schnell in Schnittrichtung. Die Klinge ist sauber gelagert und läuft wie gesagt mit mittlerem Widerstand, der ein Aufgehen in der Tasche verhindert und beim Spielen noch ausreichend Spaß macht. 

Durch die offene Bauweise leicht zu reinigen.

Alles in allem für mich ein äußerst funktionales Alltagsmesser, nicht leicht aber röbust, nicht sehr schön, aber äußerst angenehm zu tragen und zu halten. Zwar nicht der beste Klingenstahl, dafür aber im Paket ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.
