The **Civivi Caetus** is a long and slender pocket knife that is remarkably lightweight for its size and price. It looks and feels like an elegant gentleman's knife. Still, it is made to be used. All in all, it's a good pocket knife for an amazing price. Precisely what Civivi stands for.



The CIVIVI Caetus C21025C-DS1 Twill Carbon Fiber, Damascus Blade, pocket knife is a nice EDC pocket knife in the colour black. With its blade length of 8.7 cm, this knife is ideal for easy carrying. When closed, it's only 11.5 cm long, and it weighs 90 g.



Opening the CIVIVI Caetus C21025C-DS1 Twill Carbon Fiber, Damascus Blade, pocket knife is incredibly fast thanks to the flipper, which allows for single-handed operation. The pocket knife is equipped with ceramic ball bearings making opening and closing nice and smooth. Once opened, the liner lock ensures that the knife is locked and will not accidentally snap shut.



## Blade of stainless damascus
The blade of this  Civivi  is made of stainless damascus. It's gorgeous and super-chic, but also made to be used. Damascus is made by fire-welding different steels together and then folding them several times. Obviously at very high temperatures and with outstanding craftsmanship; ancient techniques combined with modern craftsmanship.

For the handles of pocket knives, carbon fibre sheet material is used. The carbon fibres, often first woven, are pressed into a strong resin under high pressure. The result is a super strong, lightweight material. Très beau couteau , bonne finition, le damas à de jolie motif ainsi que le manche. 
Par contre l'affutage est mauvais, sortie de boite, ca coupe même pas une feuille de papier, ce qui est quand même le principe de base d'un couteau.

Das Caetus besticht auf den ersten Blick durch seine hochwertige Anmutung. Der Kohlefasergriff ist ein echter Hingucker und liegt angenehm in der Hand, könnte aber für meinen Geschmack etwas mehr Grip bieten. Die massive Klinge aus Damaststahl ist zweifellos ein Highlight und zeugt von Qualität. Allerdings hätte ich mir hier ab Werk einen etwas feineren Schliff gewünscht.

Ein weiterer kleiner Kritikpunkt ist der Liner-Lock, der etwas schwer zu erreichen ist. Das erschwert das einhändige Schließen des Messers.

Trotz dieser kleinen Kritikpunkte hat mich das Caetus überzeugt. Es ist ein äußerst schickes Messer, das ich gerne täglich bei mir trage und dem ich durchaus mal härtere Arbeiten zutraue.

Das Caetus ist ein tolles Messer für alle, die Wert auf Ästhetik und Qualität legen. Mit ein paar kleinen Verbesserungen hätte es das Potenzial zum perfekten EDC-Messer.
