The **Cold Steel 4 Max Scout 62RQ** is large, cool and strong. A decent pocket knife for an amazing price. The original design of the max was popular, but slightly expensive. That is why Cold Steel introduced the 4 Max Scout: just as large and impressive, but slightly more affordable.



The blade is made from AUS10A steel. A decent type of Japanese steel that can handle its own and is also easy to sharpen. You open the blade with one hand with the large thumb stud. We noticed that this is easier if you have larger hands. But that is almost obvious when you look at the size of this knife. The handle also focuses on large hands and is made from Griv-Ex. A strong plastic that offers enough grip and is relatively light-weight. And yet the 4-Max Scout is still quite heavy, which is no surprise considering its size. When opened the blade is locked by a solid Tri-Ad lock. A Demko invention!
