The PXL WH is a modern pocket knife ideal for everyday use. It is called the work horse because that is exactly what it is! Its blade is manufactured from laminated cobalt steel with a hardness of HRC 60, which gives it an exceptional sharpness that will last for a really long time.


The PXL WH is a modern pocket knife ideal for everyday use. It is called the work horse because that is exactly what it is! Its blade is manufactured from laminated cobalt steel with a hardness of HRC 60, which gives it an exceptional sharpness that will last for a really long time. Its handle is made from Grilon, a newly-developed type of plastic that is extremely durable. Thanks to its liner lock system, the Work Horse can be opened and closed safely and easily using just one hand.  
  

N.B.: This knife does not have a pocket clip. Should this be a problem, a good alternative is the Fallkniven [PXL Maroon Micarta](/en/pt/-fallkniven-pxl-maroon-micarta.htm).   
  

The new laminate cobalt steel (for those interested, the composition is: C 1.1%. Cr. 16%. W 0.3%. Mo 1.5%. V 0.3%. Co 2.5%.) is extremely hard, although it is very susceptible to chipping. Another advantage is that this steel can be sharpened to achieve an edge keener than that achieved on other steels, such as VG10 or 3G steel, for instance. The most significant disadvantage is that it is considerably more expensive.

Een mooi mes 
De postitieve punten
-goed staal blijft zeer lang scherp.
-Hij voelt zeer stevig/solide aan 

min punten
-Het is een zwaar zakmes.
-HEt ruitvormige gedeelte op de scales voelt scherp aan
-Thumbstud en linerlock zijn ook scherp (deze heb ik met een slijpsteentje de scherpe 90 graden hoek eraf gehaald.
-Ook het openen van het mes gaat niet echt makkelijk omdat je bijna geen ruimte hebt tussen de scales en Thumbstud.

Het is een goed mes maar ik vind voor de prijs en de reputatie van Fallkniven dat het mes wel wat beter afgewerkt had kunnen zijn.
