The **Fox Bean Gen 2 Stonewashed** is a cool, small pocket knife, designed by Serge Panchenko. His Bean pocket knife has been a favourite for years as a custom knife. Now the Bean is also available as an affordable production pocket knife. The same design, a lot more affordable.



You open the Black Fox Bean with the thumb hole. The knife moves smoothly thanks to the ball bearings. When opened the blade is kept in place by a remarkable slipjoint mechanism. This means that the knife stays open, but can also easily be closed. It doesn't contain a real lock, making it legal in many places in Europe.



Characterizing for the design of the Bean is the combination of sleek lines and round shapes. As such it feels great in hand. Combined with its limited size it also looks friendly.



This edition is enhanced with a handle made from G10 with stainless steel. The steel parts are enhanced with a blackwashed finish. As a result traces of use will hardly be visible. The blade is made from 440C steel. A stainless type of steel that offers a great balance between sharpness retention, corrosion resistance, and how easy it is to sharpen. So simply good! Especially for this price.

Het formaat is kleiner dan verwacht maar desondanks gemakkelijk te manipuleren. De kwaliteit is top, perfect als back-up knife.

Ein wunderschönes kleines Messer, welches auch mit anderen Griffschalen verfügbar ist. Bereichert m.E. jede Messersammlung und kann als EDC glänzen. Bei Lieferung ist das Messer bereits sehr scharf geschliffen.

J'avais un peu peur de la qualité, je préfère toujours dans cette gamme de prix les lames rivetées aux lames vissées qui ont tendant à prendre du jeu, mais après 3 semaines d'utilisation ça n'a pas bougé
Attention la lame ne se verrouille pas, et n'est pas maintenue plus que ça. A l'usage ce n'est pas plus mal pour une utilisation pocket fréquente mais c'est déroutant au début. J'ai failli renvoyer le couteau rien qu'à cause de ça mais je suis maintenant convaincu.
Les plus : design moderne sans être agressif, un Panchenko à pas cher, vraiment bien fini, bonne épaisseur de lame, et surtout la finition de la lame vraiment extraordianire
Les moins : un peu lourd, le clip aurait mérité de faire disparaitre le couteau dans la poche, et faudrait vraiment que les fabricants arretent les vis torx à tout bout de champs, c'est hyper fragile
