This is my favourite EDC pocket knife. It has fantastic quality steel surrounded by stainless steel giving a nice look and excellent blade sharpness and durability, And they're becoming harder to find.

This is just a fantastic little knife. Beautifully crafted, exceptionally sharp, easy to open and glorious to look at. Oh and it sharpens pencils wonderfully. I would buy another one but I don't need to as I am sure this will last a lifetime.

Better quality than expected. The blade is tight and the knife dosen´t open by it self. Comfortable to use and fairly sharp out of the box. In comparsion it is slighly more refined and user friendly than its european counterpart the Douk Douk of the same length. The tab on the blade makes it easy to open and the handle is longer than on the Douk Douk. Great for woodworking and whitteling.

The quality of the knife was poor. One side of the screw was crushed and frame is not straight. But the blade was very good steel and sharp. For the value of 15£ it was okay, but definitely not a great gift for someone important.

I love the Higo pocket knife, it is so unusual in UK, such a novelty. The brass casing is very attractive, with the engraved Japanese lettering (don't know what is says, but never mind) and the picture of the Japanese warrior. The blade is of superb quality, really sharp, really thick and sturdy, and of a curved Samurai-type shape not seen in UK, but very useful for cutting where you don't want a pointy tip to tear paper etc. Am delighted with my purchase. Also, most importantly, the blade is just under 3 inches, the UK legal limit for a carried knife, so no worries there.

I purchased this knife for gardening and general use it is well made as I expected from the Japanese makers, the blade is very sharp ideal for taking cuttings and with the Carbon Steel in the centre of the blade it will hold a really sharp edge and be sharpened easily, it has the simple construction no springs to brake or jam, yes I am pleased with this purchase.
