The **KA-BAR Cutlass Machete 1248** is a medium-sized machete. A combination of a broadsword and the famous Kukri blade shape. This KA-BAR Cutlass Machete has the same Kraton handle you have seen on other KA-BAR knives and feels very comfortable in hand. 

 The blade, with its royal belly, is made from 1095 carbon steel. Not stainless, but easy to sharpen. More important: it can handle quite a lot. It is exactly what you want when you are using a machete such as this. You use it to move yourself through dense vegetation, or to cut through small branches. To cut through thicker branches or trunks it is best to use an axe or saw.

 The KA-BAR Cutlass Machete comes with a leather sheath to always keep it close.

KA-BAR Cutlass Machete 1248 Machete, Lederscheide, eine gute Machete die sich wertig und gut ausbalanciert anfühlt. Der einzige Kritikpunkt ist die Beschreibung. Was für eine Lederscheide? Das ist keine Lederscheide sondern eine Nylon-Kunststoffscheide.

Le couteau tient bien dans la main. Poche est un peu compliqué. Mais le pendentif en lui même est utile. Mais ce qui me déçoit, c'est la solidité du couteau. Je n'ai coupé que des brindilles, notamment du bambou, avec cela et le bord a quand même commencé à s'écailler. La netteté à la sortie de la boîte n'était pas non plus excellente et l'affûtage n'est pas facile en termes de forme. En tant que machette, elle n'est pas très fonctionnelle. Comme hache de camp oui, pour fendre du bois peut-être. Mais je préférerais plutôt prendre une hache à fendre et un couteau de poche.
