Rick Hinderer is the knifemaker behind the Cryo II. And he has turned it into something beautiful. A really solid knife for a keen price. It's made of solid stainless steel with a matte grey titanium nitride coating. The assisted opening allows the blade to open quickly and smoothly. Both the thumb rest and the flipper can be used to open the knife with one hand, either left-handed or right handed. The heavy-duty frame lock locks the blade when opened. It is impossible to push the frame lock out too far, because a thin flange limits the space. All in all, it's a well thought out and safe system.  
  

The pocket clip is also well thought out. It sticks out just above the edge of the knife, meaning the knife disappears completely in your pocket. The slim appearance is another factor that fully conceals this pocket knife in your pocket. You can carry this solid knife with you at all times!

Eerste indruk is erg goed van deze EDC. Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is prima. Het mes komt zeer scherp uit de verpakking en de bouwkwaliteit voelt erg solide aan. Niets wiebelt / kraakt / piept.

Solid knife with excellent ergonomics at a decent price.
Good points are ergonomics, ruggedness, flipper action, blade shape.
Bad points are the heavy weight, poor factory edge (regain needed), the pocket clip was too tight (easily adjusted), the assisted opening is not tuned for thumb stud usage.
The coating is very slick which may be positive (when removing from pocket) or negative (dirty hands).
I like the knife, it quickly became a favourite after some necessary adjustments and I would buy it again if I lost it even if it has 8CR13 steel.

Kwam te strak en stroef afgesteld, maar dat was snel verholpen. Gaat nu soepel open. Ontgrendelen van het framelock is en blijft zwaar. Niettemin een prijsvoordelig en degelijk mes. Let wel: het is lichter van kleur dan de foto doet vermoeden.
