NiteCore EC25 is a relatively compact torch with a maximum light output of 860 ANSI lumens. The EC25 torch is powered by 2 x CR123A batteries or 1 rechargeable 18650 batterie.


NiteCore EC25 is a relatively compact torch with a maximum light output of 860 ANSI lumens. The EC25 torch is powered by 2 x CR123A batteries or 1 rechargeable 18650 batterie. Thanks to its ingenious reflector, this torch has an exceptional beam intensity with an enormous throw distance, particularly given the size of the torch.   
  

The EC25 features an innovative two-stage switch (comparable to a camera shutter button) for full operation:   
  

* Press the switch all the way down to switch on and off.
* Press the switch halfway down to access the various modes. When you switch off the torch, it will retain the last mode when pressed halfway down.
* Press the switch all the down twice in quick succession to enter the strobe mode. When in the strobe mode, press the switch all the way down and hold for more than one second to cycle through the strobe, SOS and location beacon modes. The location beacon mode flashes once every three seconds.
* To turn the light off and enter the lockout mode, press the switch all the way down and hold for more than one second. The light will go on briefly. To exit the lockout mode, press the switch all the way down and hold for more than one second.



Around the button is a luminous ring that flashes every 3 seconds. This clever feature makes the torch easy to find in the dark. However, it does not work when the torch is in the lockout mode.   
  


In addition to this, the luminous ring gives a warning when the torch is half empty or almost completely empty. The voltage of the batteries is also shown whenever the torch is in the lockout mode.   
  


It may all sound rather complicated but if you play around with your torch, you will soon become familiar with all its functions. This torch is a complete, ingenious product with an enormous light output.

Kost wat, maar dan heb je ook echt wat.
Komt een enorme bak licht uit, boven verwachting.
makkelijk is ook dat verschillende lichtsterktes mogelijk zijn, volledige sterkte is soms echt te fel.
Vooraf twijfelde ik of de bediening wel zo makkelijk/snel zou zijn, maar dit werkt prima. alleen de stroboscoop/sos functies zijn wat lastiger te bereiken. bij volledig indrukken gewoon gelijk vol licht, werkt makkelijk en snel.
Ik gebruik de lamp vrijwel dagelijks om af en toe even bij te lichten. 
Erg tevreden mee.

Een handzame en degelijk gebouwde zaklamp met een groot bereik. In het inzetgebied voor mijn urbex fotografie een betrouwbaar geheel.

Pracht lamp, wordt wel snel warm in hoogste stand. Let op, enkel button top accu's passen in deze lamp. Draagkoord is niet te bevestigen op de lamp...

Niet meteen een goedkope lamp, maar diverse oudere zaklampen kunnen nu weg. De bouwkwaliteit lijkt me uitstekend, het formaat is handzaam en de hoeveelheid licht die deze lamp geeft is echt indrukwekkend. Hoop de stroboscoopfunctie nooit nodig te hebben.

De vier voornaamste factoren mijn inziens bij de aanschaf van een zaklamp is een lamp met een niet al te gebundelde output waar ik toch een respectabelen afstand mee kan overbruggen, tevens een interface die gemakkelijk te bedienen is en de hele waaier aan aan mogelijkheden heeft en dit in een compact als mogelijke vorm.In dit alles is de nitecore EC25 een echte uitblinker.Als klein minpunt:de bedieningsknop van de unieke interface vindt ik iets aan de kleine kant maar dit kan waarschijnlijk niet groter op zo een kleine lamp.TOPPER!!!
