The **Nitecore EDC27** is a compact rechargeable flashlight for everyday use. This light has a maximum light output of no less than 3000 lumens and a beam reach of 220 metres. Impressive for a flashlight the size of half a smartphone! It comes as no surprise that the Nitecore EDC27 won the 'Best EDC Flashlight 2023' award. 

## Nitecore EDC27 Advanced Sandwich Construction

The EDC27 features what Nitecore calls an 'Advanced Sandwich Construction'. The sandwich housing is made of two stainless steel plates. With a composite frame and a heat-conducting plate in between. The black steel casing is anodised to military standard HA III. Grip plates are fitted to the sides of the light for an excellent grip. The whole sandwich is secured with six sturdy screws on the sides.

The EDC27 also features a 'Hybrid Heat Dissipation System'. You'll find this behind the pocket clip and it is made of copper with an aluminium plate on top. This system, combined with the internal Advanced Temperature Regulation (ATR) module, ensures great heat diffusion. Since it's located behind the clip, you won't feel any unwanted heat while using it.

## Nitecore EDC27 controls

The flashlight also has an OLED display. The display shows light mode, lumen count, burn time, battery and lockout mode. You can switch through light modes with the button on the back. With this button you can click through the five light modes (ultra low, low, medium, high and turbo) and also the strobe mode. Because of the heat that is generated, the burn time in the turbo mode is limited to approx. 5-7 seconds. The EDC27 features two lockout modes:

  * 1. Half Lockout Mode (On/off button is locked, light mode button is usable)
  * 2. Full Lockout Mode (both on/off button and light mode button are locked)

The EDC27's 1700mAh Li-ion battery is rechargeable with the included USB-C cable. The charging port is fitted with a protective cap. This prevents dust and moisture from entering the charging port.

  * Ultra Low (15 lumens, 14 metres, 37 hours)
  * Low (65 lumens, 32 metres, 11 hours)
  * Mid (200 lumens, 57 metres, 3 uur hours and 45 minutes)
  * High (1000 lumens, 130 metres, 1 hours and 45 minutes)
  * Turbo (3000 lumens, 220 metres, approx. 5 seconds)
  * Strobe (3000 lumens)

## Nitecore EDC27 pocket clip

Last but not least, the EDC27 features an innovative pocket clip with an attachment piece. This attachment piece features ridges, making it easy to grip and take the flashlight from your pocket. Below this attachment is a cord eye for attaching a lanyard.

A very good EDC light. If you understand that it can't produce powerfull light for longer periods og time (3000 lumen). But that is perfect for my use. 

Lampe au top, niveau performance, encombrement. 
Son seul défaut à mon sens c’est le verrouillage plus fastidieux à faire que sur d’autre modèle. Cependant le demi verrouillage qui permet une utilisation en mode fort et strobe alors que le reste des fonction est verrouillé est parfait. 

En EDC outil parfait. 

Je cherchais une lampe puissante. Ral le bol de bosser/bricoler dans les endroits sombres. Une lampe légère et rechargable. 
Mais je n'attendais pas à autant de possibiités : 5 réglages de puissance - plus le super puissance et strobe en directe sans parler du mode "vérrouillé"qui est indispensable avec la lampe dans la poche. Son format "slim" est nickel. Une vrai lampe "de poche" ! Très content. 

Très puissant et la batterie tiens bien… j’ai pris aussi pour un ami
