The **Petzl Pixa 3 head torch** is a top-quality product. This ATEX head torch has a maximum light output of 100 lumens and a range of 90 metres. The great thing about the Petzl Pixa 3 is the two different LED lights. One LED is for a wide beam and the other is for a focused beam. They can also be used at the same time.

This makes the head torch highly versatile. The wide beam is ideal for tasks within a close proximity. The combined light beam is perfect for moving around in the dark, because it allows you to see up close as well as far away. The highly focused beam is perfect when you need far-reaching illumination.

Switching between light modes is easy with the rotary knob. Even while wearing gloves. The Constant Lighting Technology guarantees that the light intensity doesn't decrease as the battery runs out. As soon as the battery is about to run out, the Petzl Pixa 3 switches to a backup light mode.

### Light modes for the Petzl Pixa 3

  * Broad: 20 lumens, burn time of approx. 26 hours
  * Combined: 60 lumens, burn time of 6 hours and 30 minutes
  * Focused: 100 lumens, burn time of approx. 3 hours and 30 minutes
  * Back-up: 10 lumens, burn time of approx. 13 hours

The torch is ATEX certified for zone 2/22. This means it can be used in potentially explosive surroundings. Because of the plastic casing, this torch is relatively lightweight. The light comes with an additional clip to make sure you can mount it on a helmet. This torch meets the IP67 waterproof standard. This means that it can be kept 1 metre underwater for 30 minutes. 

## ATEX LED torch

There are many different levels of ATEX certification. The Petzl Pixa 3 has the following certifications: II 3 GD Ex nA ic IIB T4 Gc / tc IIIC T135°C Dc.

The casing is made from explosion-proof and anti-static plastic. This means there is no risk of sparks if you drop it. The yellow colour makes it easy to find under any circumstances.

orientation du "faisceau" un peu molle....
je m'explique...le faisceau de lumière s'oriente à l'aide du gros bouton
sur la droite de la lampe... qui fait pivoter le corp de lampe sur sur une
partie dentelée qui sert au réglage de "l'angle"...une fois l'angle choisi
on doit avoir une retenue... là la retenue est limite...la lampe pourrait
avoir tendance à ne pas être bloquée correctement et à tourner toute
seule....

super kwaliteit, mijn vorige was ik verloren. Ik moest gewoon een hoofdlamp hebben, heb alle lampen nog eens overlopen maar kwam tot de conclusie dat dit nog steeds de beste keuze was voor mij. Extreem robust, betrouwbaar. Iets wat je wenst als je het nodig hebt

Prima lamp. 
Knop goed te bedienen. Ook met dikkere stijvere vingers en handschoenen.
Wel net iets minder lichtsterkte dan verwacht voor buiten gebruik. Doch binnen in huis prima voor klusjes in het donker of in donkere hoekjes en plekjes (elektriciteitskasten, berging, magazijn,    ). 
Voor veel buiten gebruik misschien een wat sterkere (meer lumen) lamp kopen.
Al bij al voldoet voor mijn behoefte en gebruik.

De Pixa 3 voelt robuust en kwalitatief goed aan. 
De aankoop voldoet niet helemaal aan mijn verwachtingen, maar dat is mijn fout... ik dacht dat deze hoofdlamp usb-oplaadbaar was en dat is niet het geval. De verpakking was niet meer intact en ik ontzag mij de rompslomp om het item terug te sturen. Mijn fout dus.
