The **SOG Pillar** is a solid knife entirely made in the United States. When you look at the design, finish and the use of materials you notice that SOG has really taken the Pillar to the next level. A knife that you can really rely on. 

 The blade is made from CPM S35VN-steel. A powder metallurgical steel grade that retains its sharpness very well. At the same time the S35VN can handle the more demanding tasks. The blade is enhanced with a stonewashed and satin finish. The 'grind' has a satin finish. Combined with the stonewashed flat parts it looks very luxurious. The handle is made from canvas micarta. One of our favourite handle materials. Micarta offers enough grip also under wet conditions. The fibres in the textile namely swell when wet. At the same time micarta is a very stable material: cold, heat and chemicals hardly influence it.

 With a fixed knife like the Pillar, the sheath is at least as important as the knife itself. What good is a knife if you cannot easily take it with you? With the Pillar you don't have to worry about it. It includes a nice kydex sheath. A Tek-Lok-clip was attached to the whole to wear the Pillar in many different ways.

Couteau commandé début janvier et reçu dans un colis et emballage intacts. Le couteau présentait un défaut de fabrication. Après retour j'en ai reçu un autre dans un colis intact, par contre l'emballage du couteau avait été ouvert, les scellés étaient coupés et avaient été recollés avec une bande adhésive, le couteau n'était pas clipsé dans son moule de transport, et l'emballage contenait 2 sets de fixation du passant ceinture (normalement 1 seul). Après un examen soigneux du couteau, il ne présentait aucune trace d'utilisation, il était dans un état parfait. C'est un très beau couteau, parfaitement aiguisé, bien équilibré, de facture robuste et de qualité. L'épaisseur du manche est de 16.5mm ce qui pourrait sembler peu préhensible pour une grosse main. La gaine est de bonne facture, solide et retient parfaitement le couteau, elle est par contre plus encombrante que celles d'autres couteaux comparables (Strongarm de Gerber par ex) et sa longueur pourrait être réduite de 10 à 13mm sans préjudice à son efficacité.

Je suis vraiment content de mon article et bonne qualité couteau très solide 

Prima mes van high end steel, afmetingen zijn perfect voor een scala aan toepassingen ( bushcraft, tactisch, survival)

Kydex schede is ook prima en “low profile” 
Riembevestiging had beter gekund, maar al met al zeer tevreden.

Levering via KATO zoals altijd perfect 

Acabados y ajustes no acorde con el precio. Marcas de fabricación en el pomo. 
Viene afilada pero hay que repasarlo.
Funda correcta.

Servicio postventa deficiente.

La verdad es que esperaba más calidad por este precio.
