The **Spyderco Chaparral** is an exclusive gentleman's knife, designed by Sal Glesser. The Chaparral collection is for Spyderco the perfect collection to experiment with exclusive and new handle materials. With this particular model the handle is made from Raffir Noble. 

 Raffir Noble is a Danish composite material. In this case a base of smoke-coloured epoxy containing thin sheets of copper and brass. The semi-transparent epoxy adds a lot of depth to the material. Because the material is nicely polished, it really stands out.

 Of course, the material used for the handle is not the only reason to buy this pocket knife. The blade is also great. The blade is made from CTS-XHP. A good type of steel that retains its sharpness well. What is also special about this blade is how thin it is behind the edge. As such it cuts like no other.

 You can easily open the blade with one hand with the help of the characterizing thumb hole. When opened a solid backlock neatly keeps the blade in place. The knife is enhanced with a subtle *wire clip*-pocket clip. It is functional and at the same time shows a nice and large part of the material used for the handle.

Wunderschön gearbeitetes Messer. Es liegt super in der Hand.  Mein Mann ist Messerfreak. Aber in das Messer habe ich mich verliebt. Es lohnt sich,  es zu kaufen. 

Raffir Noble? Nicht nur, das ganze Messer ist nobel! Auch wenn die wunderschön spiegelnden und reflektierenden Griffschalen mit ihrem kupferfarben durchwirkten Kunstharz(-stoff?) in der eigenen Hand ein noch viel schöneres Bild abgeben, als auf jedem Foto. Die Schärfe der elegant dünn gehaltenen Klinge ist über jeden Zweifel erhaben und die Mechanik rastet mit einem satten „Klack“ ein. Eine echte Freude, dieses Nobelmesser!

Ein tolles Messer. Sehr guter Stahl und Top Verarbeitung. Die Raffir - Griffschalen reflektieren wunderschön je nach Einfallswinkel des Lichts. Preis geht absolut in Ordnung für diese Qualität. Könnte auch Anderen gefallen - also immer ein Auge drauf!...
