The Spyderco Manix 2 has been around for some time and is one of the most successful models by Spyderco. This Manix 2 model has set the bar for light weight pocket knives a bit higher. The handle of this knife is made of FRCP. This is a lightweight glass reinforced polymer. The handle is as light as a feather, but also really sturdy. The CTS-BD1-steel blade has a full-flat-grind with a stonewashed finish. The blade is locked in the open position by the solid ballbearring-lock. A user friendly lock that also helps to open the knife smoothly.

Le design du manix 2 lightweight est très sympa. La couleur bleue translucide est du plus bel effet. C'est un gros couteau mais on est surpris par sa légèreté. La prise en main est très bonne. Le système de verrouillage est super. Le tranchant est rasoir en sortie de boite. A voir dans la durée.
La livraison était parfaite (délai, packaging) et un plus avec la pierre à aiguiser jointe en cadeau.

Alle eigenschappen van Spyderco in een fors formaat zakmes van 82 gr. Komt vlijmscherp uit de doos en opent en sluit al direct vrij soepel. Door gebruik zal dit nog vlotter gaan in de toekomst. Voor sommige mensen wellicht wat aan de grote kant voor EDC maar dankzij het gewicht voel je nauwelijks dat je het mes op zak hebt.

Voordelen: erg licht van gewicht, heft heeft veel grip, full size mes, behoorlijke kwaliteit staal dat makkelijk te slijpen is, erg solide bouw en vrij van speling, ball bearing lock zet het lemmet muurvast.

Nadelen: mes is niet uit elkaar te halen, redelijk aan de prijs kijkende naar de gebruikte materialen, voor sommige mensen wellicht wat te groot voor EDC.

Van de kleur moet je houden maar het is weer een keer iets anders en springt lekker in het oog.

Voor mensen die het bedrag voor dit mes niet uit willen (of kunnen) geven....de Spyderco Tenacious doet in mijn opinie niet onder voor deze uitvoering en kost minder dan de helft.
