The **Spyderco Native 5** has been a best-seller ever since 1997. Characteristic about the Native 5 is the solid lock. The spring on the backlock can easily be opened on the one hand, on the other it will securely lock the blade when opened. This also provides a little resistance when opening the knife.



The blade is made from CPM SPY27 steel. A remarkable type of steel that was specifically designed with and for Spyderco. It looks a lot like CPM S30V and CPM S35VN, with comparable sharpness retention and toughness. SPY-27, however, is, because of the addition of cobalt and a little less carbon and vanadium, easier to sharpen. It is enhanced with a full-flat grind. This means that the blade has a flat grind from the spine to the edge.

Wat mij betreft is de Native 1 van de betere EDC messen die je maar kan hebben. Hij is flickable en smooth in actie, de hoge prijs snap ik nog wel.

Das Native 5 ist wie alle Top Modelle von Spyderco Made in USA super verarbeitet und extrem leicht.Je nach Gebrauch und Anforderung erfüllt es seinen Zweck.Ob als EDC oder als Schneid Werkzeug  erfüllt es seinen Zweck.Es ist leicht zu zerlegen und zu reinigen.Aufgrund des Backlocks etwas schwer gängiger zu öffnen als die Compression Lock Varianten.Größe des Messer ist perfekt für Frauen als auch für mittelgroße Männerhände.
