The **Spyderco Para 3 C223GPS** is the successor of the Spyderco Paramilitary 2. Well, not completely. Globally the same shape, same lock and the same type, only smaller. The Para 3 is a cm shorter. It is an adjustment many Spyderco enthusiasts asked for despite the widely acclaimed Paramilitary 2. The adjustment to a slightly more compact model increased the wearing comfort. Other than that the Para 3 includes all characteristics of the Paramilitary 2. 

 As befits Spyderco the finish is sublime. It opens easily and the famous Compression Lock, designed by Spyderco founder Sal Glesser, is very solid and easy to control. The blade is made from CPM S45VN powdered steel. The steel retains its sharpness well and is very stainless. One of the most popular types of knife steel. Extra special on this knife because designer Sal Glesser worked on the development of this steel.

De eerste Spyderco in mijn verzameling, en zal zeker niet de laatste zijn. Heel tevreden over mijn aankoop. Prachtig mes, licht, goede grip, zeer vlotte opening via duimgat, stevige vergrendeling en zeer scherp out of the box. Niet goedkoop maar zeker een aanrader. Voor mij geen gebruiksvoorwerp maar een mes dat niet mocht ontbreken in mijn verzameling. Alweer een goede service en snelle levering van Knives and Tools!

Mooi mes met een hoge fidget factor. Voelt heel solide aan. Thuis vond ik het toch wat groot om buitenshuis uit mijn zak te halen. En dus geretourneerd. Ook de prijs van > € 200 ook fors. Daarna een Dragonfly besteld. Bevalt beter. 

Lovely to hold and very very sharp. Very easy to open in one hand. Legal blade length and fits horizontally in work trouser pocket. Hole for cord to secure knife on chosen keep safe arrangement ideal. Wasn't happy with force required to remove clip which had to be bent/forced and removed. Not sure how easy it will be to sharpen this knife but I reckon the steel is good so it won't be a problem for me. I did have this issue with the very small Ladybug by Spyderco but at a quarter of the price its not really suprising. Very Happy with this everyday tool. SPB.
