The Pingo Pin is a compact and slim pocket knife, designed by Danish knifemakers, Jens Anso and Jesper Voxnaes. It meets the strict requirements of Danish law. Danish law prohibits one-handed opening and locking systems. Therefore, this pocket knife has no thumb hole. However, a tiny opening in the blade clearly identifies it as a genuine Spyderco knife. The Pingo does require two-hand opening but this is quick and easy because you have plenty of grip on the closed blade..   
  


Within the limitations of Danish law, Spyderco has succeeded in producing an attractive, truly versatile knife with a blade made of Böhler-Uddeholm’s N690Co high-quality steel. The blade is almost in the shape of a sheepfoot and although it does not lock, there is a distinct click, when opened and halfway closed.

Heel mooi gemaakt praktisch mesje.  Voor normaal EDC gebruik heb je geen vergrendeling nodig. Ik vond het ontwerp er in eerste instantie een beetje uitzien alsof de ontwerper gewoon een vreemde vorm wilde maken.  Niets is echter minder waar 
 Het is een klein mes maar ligt perfect in de hand en de lemmetvorm is heel bruikbaar.  Een topmesje m.i. 

Kleines feines Messer, für den täglichen Gebrauch auf (Trekking)-Tour, vom Gemüseschneiden für das Abendessen, bis zum Ablängen von Zeltleinen alles kein Problem.

Dank der Schafsfussklinge ist auch das Schmieren eines Butterbrotes oder von Nutella auf einem Croissant problemlos möglich. Beim Einkauf muss man dann tlw. darauf achte, dass die Größe z. B. des Stück Käse zur Länge der Klinge passt.

Einzig die fehlende Arretierung gegenüber dem gewohnte Manix 2 G10 stellte sich tlw. als störend heraus, die fehlende Klingenlänge eigentlich nie.

Die Optik mit der "knuffigen Klinge" (O-Ton), auch gerade in Kombination mit Orange, unterstreicht die Ungefährlichkeit des Messers zusätzlich und ruft eher freundlich-interessierte Reaktionen hervor, als Ablehnung.

Mooi en origineel ontwerp, goed afgewerkt en prima geslepen. Het mes ligt goed in de hand en heeft een fijne pocket-clip. Door de vorm van het lemmet geschikt voor veel klusjes, zelfs het smeren van een boterham. Geen scherpe punt, maar dat mis ik niet. Openen met twee handen (jammer), zonder vergrendeling (geen probleem bij normaal gebruik). Wat mij betreft een EDC-topper.

Het eerste exemplaar dat ik ontving had een kleine fabricage-fout. Binnen een week en zonder kosten vervangen door K&T. Dat is pas service!

Ich hatte dieses Messer schon einmal, jedoch waren mein bester Freund un Kollege so davon begeistert, dass ich mir übers Herz gestrichen habe und es ihm geschenkt habe. Also, mit diesem Messer macht man Leute neidisch. Es ist klein, praktisch, Sauscharf und Legal! Mit der Schafsfußklinge ist es ein wahres Schneidemonster! Die Farbe ist Super und Auffällig und durch die Größe wirkt es nicht bedrohlich, sogar ängstliche Frauen finden dieses Messer toll (vielleicht weil sie im ersten Moment denken man hätte ein Spielzeug in den Händen, wegen der Farbe und der Größe?). Dass Messer gleitet wie durch Butter, durch das Schneidegut. Kann dieses Pingo nur wärmstens empfehlen.
