Several years ago, I bought a pair of Henckels general purpose kitchen scissors, and these have proved to be an extremely good purchase (long-lasting sharpness and good ergonomics, particularly for a left-handed person such as I) . For some time I have been promising myself a pair of kitchen shears from the same company, and at last I have them. Same qualities as the scissors but obviously designed to be a bit more rugged for more difficult jobs. I expect them to last a very long time.

Have a complete set of knives for a number of years all of which are used daily/regularly, had to replace one due to misuse. Had no hesitation in replacing like for like. These knives will last me a lifetime.

1. Service was excellent. 2. The scissors are not extremely sharp. They are stiff, but that may change. 3. Most unhelpful is that you cannot hold the scissors as you would want. Normally you have your thumb in one side and four fingers in the other. Have a look -- the two spaces are the same, and unless you have a small hand you won;t get four fingers in either side. Disappointing at the price you pay.
