We have never had a decent bread knife so I’ve nothing to compare to but this knife has changed the way we live. Bread is now seen as joy rather than a simple source of sustenance. Our mornings were spent in dread wondering if the blunt knife we had previously used was going to be able to cut a slice of bread or just hack it into an inedible lump of doughy nothingness. Now as dawn breaks are spirits are immediately lifted with the thought of a razor sharp blade that effortlessly glides through any type of bread imaginable. Life is now worth living.

Victorinox are the best knives I've ever found for the enthusiastic home cook and I've tried many brands over the last 40 plus years. This bread knife is light, comfortable to hold, very, very sharp and cuts with little effort. An excellent buy at this price.

excellent product - a pleasure to use. cuts bread literally like a 'knife through butter'. I bought one of these back in 2005 and it broke recently after 12 years of service.- this was it's replacement.. Highly recommended!

This was my second knife and each time identical.The blade cuts through bread so smooth and almost without crumbs.The knife for me is top quality and your company delivery time was also top quality

I ordered this knife because it came up on my search of the company website as suitable for left handed people. The website had a specific filter to search for this so I assumed it was something they take note of. In fact, the serrations are on the left and there are no serrations on the right - meaning that this knife is only for right handers and is not suitable for left handed people. Disappointing and a waste of money.

Its well made knife and i think it will take a beating in the kitchen which is true test enviroment! I have small 10 cm serated version(steak knife lets say) aswell and so far its doing great.From my experience i can tell that some more expensive knifes do differ in quality of the blade but most importantly they have more weight and that improoves handling and cutting experience which i really liked, but this knife is great aswell.

AFTER HACKING AT A LOAF FOR SO LONG IT'S NOW A REAL JOY TO BE ABLE TO SLICE BREAD TO WITHIN 1/8 INCH THICK...BUT BUYERS BEWARE: IT IS EXTREMELY SHARP SO DON'T LOOK AWAY FOR AN INSTANT WHILE USING IT. I HAVE SLICED MY THUMB & A FINGER ALREADY, BUT I'M LEARNING!!

I had two small Victorinox knives and was so impressed with them that when our old bread knife needed to be replaced I knew Victorinox was the make for us. So pleased with it, it cuts through the bread so smoothly.
