With the **Wüsthof Classic chef's knife, 18 cm** no
cutting task is impossible. You use a chef's knife to cut vegetables, meat,
fish and fruit. But also when finely chopping herbs, crushing
pepper corns and peeling cloves of garlic is a piece of cake with this
all-rounder.

## Wüsthof Classic blade: razor-sharp stainless steel


The blade made from chromium-vanadium steel (X50CrMoV15) is forged from one solid piece of steel. It is sharpened according to Wüsthof’s PEtec technology. This means that for each blade a sharpening angle is determined with the help of a computer. Afterwards it is precisely sharpened on a wet sharpening stone. After thorough inspection each knife leaves the production line, ready for a life of intensive use.


Wüsthof processes the steel in a specific way to make sure it has a high hardness of 58 Rockwell. As such the knife retains its sharpness for a really long time. However, if you notice that the knife is not as sharp as it used to be, all you have to do is move it over a honing steel. The result is a razor-sharp knife that is amazing to use.


## Wüsthof Classic handle: sustainable and hygienic


This knife is a combination of a forged blade and an ergonomic handle made from black POM, a very sustainable type of plastic. The handle can withstand all substances you find in the kitchen. The handle was traditionally and seamlessly riveted to the blade with three rivets. As such dirt can never accumulate in between the blade and the handle. The crop protects your fingers from unnecessary contact with the edge. What more could you possibly ask for?


## Wüsthof Classic: the classic Wüsthof collection


The Classic is the most extensive Wüsthof collection on the market today. It is comprised of over 80 different kitchen knives, amongst which different sizes of chef’s knives, bread knives and carving knives. Because this collection has the most versions of all possible knives, you can easily comprise your own perfect knife set. A knife set with a knife block of chef’s case is, of course, also an option.


Both amateur and professional chef’s love working with these kitchen knives. They are enhanced with the NSF hygiene mark.

Deze mag niet ontbreken in de keukenla.wat een gemak ..had ik hem maar eerder ontdekt ..nu met veel plezier in kokkerellen

Bestes Kochmesser da die Länge, der Schliff und das Gewicht bestens zusammen paßt. 

Ik heb dit mes gekozen omdat deze 18 cm variant ook geschikt is voor mijn vriendin om mee te werken. Voor mij is het net te doen dus was dat betreft helemaal prima. Wat een fijn mes, bij het uitpakken en het in de hand nemen van dit zeer verfijnd stuk snijwerk was ik direct onder de indruk van het vakmanschap. Vervolgens het mes gaan gebruiken in de keuken waarbij ik versteld stond van het gemak waarmee vlees en groentes gesneden kunnen worden.
"Als een mes door een wolk" in plaats van "Als een mes door een pakje boter"!
