The **CRKT CST Combat Stripping Tool** is a fixed knife for EMS personnel and other aid workers. It is designed by Kelly Rodriguez. Because of experience as an aid worker in war areas she knows like no other what type of tools you need to quickly remove a victims clothes. In the field she noticed that regular bandage scissors had their limitations. She decided to take out pen and paper and design the ultimate rescue knife. The result is the CST.


She chose a FRN handle that offers you enough grip. FRN is a strong glass fibre-reinforced plastic. Light-weight and offers you enough grip, even with wet or dirty hands. The tip just before the edge is blunt. It is designed as such that as long as you pull the knife up, you will never injure the victim. The edge itself is always sharp. After all, the CTS works with disposable blades. As a result you never have to worry about sharpening: simply grab a new knife when you notice the old one is getting blunt.


The end of the handle is shaped as a sort of wedge. Rodriguez came up with this to make sure you can open packages with it without damaging the contents. In between the handle and the edge you will find a key for an oxygen tank.


You can always carry the CRKT CST with you in the MOLLE compatible nylon sheath. In it you will find a pouch in front already filled with a replacement blade with enough room for more.
