Ik had eerst de large Sebenza 21 Insingo  van Chris Reeve knives op het oog.
Een sheepfoot lemmet vind ik in het dagelijkse leven praktischer dan een drop- of clip point.

Toen kwam ik de Ferrum Forge tegen. Beter staal en een wharncliffe lemmet.
Dit is vergelijkbaar met een sheepfoot maar dan met een handige punt.
Prijs ligt wel hoger dan de CRK maar zo’n uitgave doet maar één keer pijn. :)

Nu een paar weken in bezit en heb nog geen moment spijt gehad dat ik niet voor de CRK heb gekozen.
Het lemmet is massief. Zodra je deze open flipt voel je gewoon momentum. Dit is serieus gereedschap.
Ik heb nog nooit een zakmes gehad die uitgeklapt aanvoelt als een vast mes. Dit ding is solide.

Opgevouwen zit het mes perfect gecentreerd. Een mooi detail is de Hoback Rolling Detent. 
Ik vond het mes moeilijk open te klappen met één hand maar dit was met een halve draai aangepast.

Echt scherp was hij niet maar dat was snel aangepast met een wicked edge. 
De originele slijphoek was inderdaad 24 graden. Dit leek me een erge grote hoek.
Toch deze hoek aangehouden en tot nu toe erg tevreden mee. 

Het is geen lief subtiel mesje. Het is een bijzonder mooi stuk metaal die generaties lang door gegeven kan worden.
