The Fox ALSR 2 is a rescue knife for use in the air, on land and in the water. The name ALSR also stands for Air, Land, Sea, Rescue. The blade is partially serrated and easy to open with one hand. The shape of the blade is a so-called sheepfoot. This means that the tip of the blade is less pointy than with other blade shapes.
The handle contains a seatbelt cutter and glass breaker. The blade for the seatbelt cutter is interchangeable. A replacement blade and torx key are included.
When opened the blade is locked by a linerlock. The lock is enhanced with a secondary lock: the L.A.W.K.S. This is the Lake And Walker Knife Safety system. This additional latch will secure the linerlock. As such the knife will never accidentally unlock and close.
Because the Fox ALSR is quite large it comes with a Cordura nylon belt sheath. In this sheath you can easily and comfortably keep it close.
