Full description
The Gerber Applegate Combat Folder is a classic amongst the pocket knives. An iconic model: large and tactical, made in the United States. This model is based on the famous designs by Col. Rex Applegate and William R. Fairbairn: two pioneers in the field of knives. Their dagger-like fixed knives were the basis for this Applegate Combat Folder.
The blade is pointed and razor-sharp. Because of its grind it appears that the spine is also sharp, but that is, fortunately, not the case. It does, however, ensure that the tip is really thin. You can open the Applegate Combat Folder with the thumb stud after which the large blade is locked by the liner lock. A secondary lock has been added to the liner lock to make sure you cannot accidentally unlock it. The edge is partially serrated and perfect for cutting through high-fibre materials such as rope or cardboard.
The large FRN handle has been enhanced with a couple of vertical grooves that will offer you additional grip. In addition, they accentuate the slim shape of the pocket knife. To carry it with you the pocket knife has been enhanced with a solid pocket clip that will make sure you won’t lose it.
