The Gerber Gator Kukri is a knife that is made to be used. This kukri is based on the famous Nepali chopping knife with the characterizing blade. Pointed, with a wide middle section and a small neck at the handle. When you own a machete you can deal with vegetation such as tall grass, plants, branches or any other type of vegetation.
This Gerber Gator Kukri has a 30.1 cm long blade, is made from stainless 1050 carbon steel and seamlessly merges with the handle. As such the machete can definitely deal with quite a lot. The blade on the kukri is comprised of three ‘parts’, each with their own function: the tip to puncture, the wide middle section to chop wood or vegetation and the slim section at the handle for precise wood work.
Gerber Gator Grip
The handle on the Gerber Gator Kukri has been enhanced with the patented Gator Grip. Made from glass reinforced nylon with a soft, rubber surface and the look and feel of an alligator skin to ensure a firm grip with optimal control regardless of the weather: this machete will never slip from your hands. Still a bit hesitant? You could also use the nylon lanyard attached to the handle if you are looking for additional security.
The Gator kukri comes with a military grade nylon sheath you can use to store your machete when you are done using it.
