Nomen est omen? De naam is een voorteken? Kershaw Spoiler, verwend, verspillen... De openingsassist, die op zich prima is, gaat wel wat verwend open. Enigszins traag, maak je niet druk. Een beetje die sfeer hangt rond het mes.
Het mes ligt fantastisch de hand, de textuur is prima en het blad is heel handig en zeer scherp. Heb er de hele dag dozen mee lopen open maken, geen centje pijn. Easy.
Ik vergelijk deze Spoiler met de Gerber Firestorm - alleen DIE naam al - dat mes ben ik kwijt en daarvoor zocht ik een vervanger. Maar nee, niet te vergelijken. De Firestorm was alleen een flipper, ook een tanto blad, maar er zat meer pit in! Pit, dat ontbreekt er aan deze Spoiler, er zit geen pit in. Het is allemaal prima voor deze prijs zeker. En er hoeft ook weer niet zoveel pit in de zitten als bijvoorbeeld een ZT tanto met openingsassist - een andere prijsklasse en als je dat mes open deed moest je het mes vasthouden anders sprong die uit je hand - maar ik had er wel iets meer van verwacht. De Kershaw Spoiler, een mes voor het rustige surfer out back publiek.
