Great light. Very important to flush magnetic ring with fresh water for 3-4 mins after each dive to prevent corrosion on magnet, springs and metal balls. Important to store light in a place it dries quickly such that no corrosion occurs behind switch. Important to lubricate magnetic ring with thin lubricant if it "dries out". Add lubricant from the page oposite to the plastic battery indicator ring. Lights with more energy efficient LED`s exist but these need to use multiple LED`s and are far more expensive for the same amount of light.  Your choice. I also have a MJ-810 which is far more cheaper and a great alternative gives about 60% of light compared to MJ-878. Procedure for flushing magnetic ring is valid for all diving lights.
