The **MAM Professional Forged chef's knife 24.5 cm** is a large traditional chef's knife. Its long blade allows you to easily chop large pieces of vegetables, meat and fish. Despite this length, the knife is easy to control thanks to its great balance and razor-sharp edge. This chef's knife is ideal if you find a standard 20 cm chef's knife too small.

## MAM Professional Forged blade

The blade is made from high-quality carbon steel and has been hand sharpened by MAM. This means the knife comes out of the packaging razor-sharp, and if used correctly, it will also remain sharp for a very long time. You can also easily sharpen the blade yourself if the knife starts to lose some of its sharpness over time.

## MAM Professional Forged handle

The MAM Professional Forged knives have a plastic handle. Nice and easy to maintain, you don't really have to think about it. The knife is full-tang. This means that the steel of the blade extends all the way to the end of the handle. This makes the knives strong and ensures they are well-balanced. 

We recommend simply washing the knives by hand. This prevents deterioration of the material and allows you to keep enjoying the knife for longer. One wash in the dishwasher won't hurt, but if you do it more frequently, the detergent and the heat can affect the hardened steel and the plastic. It may result in rust spots on the blade, or dull or even torn handles.
