Rike Thor4s Gold-Blue M390 integral frame pocket knife
The Rike Thor4s is the smallest member of the Rike Thor family. It's also one of the smallest pocket knives on the market that has an integral frame. The comprehensive milling work that Rike is known for is also evident on the number 4. Especially since everything has been done on an even smaller scale.
An integral frame wouldn't be an integral frame is the handle hadn't been milled from one piece of metal. For the Thor4s, Rike has milled a 13 mm thick piece of titanium so that a blade can fit in it. Which is already a challenge, but the scale that this knife has been made at makes it even more difficult. Nevertheless, Rike has still managed to include a steel lockbar insert on the Thor4s. This hardened steel plate at the end of the lockbar prevents wear in the (very) long term.
The flipper quickly and smoothly opens the Thor4s. Because of its size, your fingers fill the lockbar pretty quickly, which makes flipping tricky, but with a little practice you soon get the hang of it. The blade is made from Böhler M390 steel, an Austrian stainless steel that retains its sharpness well. A nice detail on the blade is the way that a surface has been milled away just below the jimping.
The Rike Thor4s comes with a leather slip sheath. This storage case prevents scratches.
