Spyderco Manix 2 Lightweight Maxamet Grey C101PGY2 pocket knife
The Spyderco Manix 2 has been one of the most successful models from the Spyderco collection for quite some time. This version of the Manix 2 is enhanced with a blade made from the legendary Maxamet steel. With it Spyderco has raised the bar for light-weight pocket knives. It is the first time that Maxamet is used for a Spyderco production knife.About Maxamet steel
Maxamet is a top-quality tool steel that was produced with the help of micro-melt technology. It is known as one of the hardest types of steel in the world. The chemical composition of 13% tungsten and 30% carbide results into a non-stainless steel blade with an impressive hardness of 67-68 Rockwell. The edge retains its sharpness for a long time and can even be used for the more demanding tasks as a result. Features that have turned the Manix 2 into a unique pocket knife. In short: a must-have for every Spyderco and knife enthusiast!
When opened the blade is locked by a solid ball bearing lock. A user-friendly lock that also ensures that you can easily open and close the pocket knife.
The handle of this knife is made from FRCP. This is a light-weight glass-reinforced polymer. As such the handle is incredibly light, but just as sturdy.
