The Sage Carbon model is part of a range of Spyderco knives that is going to be extended in the near future. A 'sage' is someone who is very wise and experienced and Spyderco is pouring its 30 years of experience into perfecting these knives.  
  


This knife with its carbon handle is relatively lightweight and is ideal for everyday use, despite its small size. This attractive little gem is made from top-quality CPM S30V steel and it also features a pocket clip that adjusts for left-hand or right-hand carry. Thumbhole diameter: 13 mm.

Prachtig mes,  superkwaliteit. De Taiwanese messen van Spyderco zijn ongelofelijk mooi en goed gemaakt.  Ik heb de Chaparral ook,  komt uit dezelfde stal. Ook dit mes is net een custom. Absoluut niets op aan te merken, er zit geen haartje scheef aan.  Heel blij mee.  Ik vind sommige Spyderco's echt te duur maar de Sage1 zeker niet.  

Prachtig mes. kan zeker door als "gentlemen's folder"

het mes opent en sluit lekker soepel. Zeker nadat hij is ingesleten.

het lage gewicht valt meteen op (voor mijn gevoel lichter dan een skyline)

Enige minpuntje vind ik de afwerking van de gelamineerde G10 scales. Ze zijn machinaal afgeschuind maar de randen zijn nog wat scherp. Voor € 180,- verwacht ik een perfect afgewerkt mes.





Heel tevreden over deze Spyderco. Vlijmscherp geleverd, snel geleverd en zonder problemen. 

Het mes zit uitzonderlijk goed in de hand. Het is heel mooi afgewerkt en het handvat uit carbonvezel is heel mooi en voelt zeer goed aan. Het geeft bovendien een voldoende grip. 
Het mes zelf is licht en heeft toegevouwen een goede grootte om t makkelijk ergens weg te steken. Tegelijkertijd is het niet te klein, waardoor het mede door de excellente staalsoort en het design een perfect EDC mes is. Ik zou het wel niet gebruiken voor harder werk. EDC was het gebruiksdoel van de makers en daar dient het ook voor gebruikt te worden. 

Prijs-kwaliteit: geen goedkoop mes, maar zeker zijn geld waard. Je ontvangt kwaliteit. Het is een Spyderco Premium mes. 

Ik ben een grote fan. 

Das Sage Carbon ist 1a verarbeitet und ein richtiger Handschmeichler bzw. Hingucker. Das Öffnen erfolgt butterweich und die Klinge ist (out of box) sehr scharf. Preis-Leistung passen bei knifesandtools, wie immer!

Er werd al zoveel geschreven over dit mes en ik kan alleen maar bevestigen dat dit inderdaad mogelijk het beste EDC mes ter wereld is. De ergonomie is waanzinnig en het zit fantastisch in elkaar. Dit mes mag niet ontbreken wanneer je jezelf een Knife-addict noemt.
