This is drop-shaped Spyderco Slipstone is thin and really fine for a great sharpening result. From gouges and chisels to curved edges, this stone will help you get sharp edges on a lot of tools. The stone is made of aluminum-oxide (synthetic sapphire). On the Mohs scale this stone has a hardness of 9.2. In comparison, diamond has a hardness of 10.
You don’t need water or oil to sharpen on the stone, and it can safely be cleaned in dishwasher or autoclave. Washing it by hand with a little water and a scouring pad will do the trick as well.
The grain size of the Spyderco Fine is about on 6 micron, 2500 in Japan.
