The **Steel Will Cutjack C22M-2OD** is a pocket knife with an appealing design and made with only the best materials, for a great price. An ideal knife to carry with you on a daily basis to open boxes or peel an apple.


The blade is made from D2-steel. A tough type of steel that retains its sharpness for quite a long time. Do make sure you clean the blade after you peel an apple: D2 is, after all, not completely stainless. You can easily make the blade appear with the flipper after which it is locked with a liner lock. As a result it will never close when you don’t want it to.


The handle is made from FRN, a light-weight plastic. Incredibly strong because it has been enhanced with glass fibres. With the pocket clip you can safely carry the Steel Will in your pocket. The Cutjack definitely stands out in its price range.

Top mesje, ergonomics top en het d2 staal van de cutjack is van goede kwaliteit. Andere chinese d2 kan wel eens tegenvallen maar niet met de cutjack.

Prima prijs-kwaliteit verhouding. De flipper action is een beetje stroef, in zoverre dat ik altijd mijn pols erbij moet gebruiken om hem helemaal in de linerlock te laten klikken. Mes komt goed scherp uit het doosje. Een ding dat me opviel is dat ik na de eerste keer afwassen een verkleuring op het lemmet zie die ik er niet met een spons of doek af kan poetsen, maar daar zit ik niet zo mee in deze prijsklasse. Gebruikssporen hebben ook wel wat.

Deze Cutjack is iets kleiner dan verwacht, maar is er ook in een maatje groter. Mooi en hard D2 staal. Slijtvast maar vermoedelijk lastig te scherpen. Wordt scheerscherp geleverd.
Ziet er acceptabel uit, niet veel mensen zullen schrikken als je dit mes (op kantoor) tevoorschijn haalt om een doos mee te openen. Flipper aktie is ruim voldoende, maar kan smoother. Geen op- of zijwaartse speling van het lemmet en goed gecentreerd. Liner lock doet zijn werk prima, maar ik zou het mes niet in bv. een telefoonboek durven rammen. Is ie natuurlijk ook niet voor bedoeld.
Het lemmet is mooi en prettig van vorm en over de hele lengte vrij dik. Daardoor is het zeer geschikt om steviger materiaal mee te snijden of hout mee te bewerken, maar wellicht iets minder geschikt om bv. voedsel mee te bereiden. Door de finger coil in het lemmet kun je precisie werk verrichten,  bv. een punt aan een stok slijpen. Voor mensen met XL handen, kan een korte, dikke lanyard het heft verlengen en dus meer grip geven. Het heft voelt vrij plastic aan, maar ziet er prima uit en is voldoende anti slip.
De pocketclip is eigenlijk het enige echte minpunt. Het is geen deep carry clip en drukt erg hard op het heft.  Er is geen vlak gepolijst deel op het punt waar de clip contact maakt op het heft. Bij spijkerbroek geen probleem, maar een mooie pantalon zou schade kunnen oplopen bij het 'trekken' van het mes. Aan de andere kant; bij een mooie pantalon hoort een herenmesje zoals de Urban Trapper of een Laguiole.
Kortom, voor 45 euro krijg je een mooi, klein, licht maar toch sterk en kwalitatief goed EDC mesje.
