The **TOPS Knives Storm Vector SVEC-01** is a large machete, designed in the style of the famous Seax knives. This type of knife was first used by the Vikings over thousand years ago. TOPS created a modern version of it, quite a large version even. As such you can use this solid outdoor knife as a survival knife, but also as a machete.



The blade is made from 1095 carbon steel and is enhanced with the characteristic differential hardening. This means that the edge is rock-solid, and retains its sharpness well. The spine of the blade, however, is softer to make the knife tougher and more solid. As such it can handle its own. Please note: 1095 is, of course, not stainless. It will change colour and if you store it while still wet it can even rust. Fortunately, TOPS enhanced the blade with the Acid Rain finish. The first step towards a beautiful patina has, therefore, already been taken care of.



The handle is made from micarta and enhanced with a blue G10 liner. A playful touch. Micarta feels great in hand, even in wet circumstances you will have enough grip. You can carry the TOPS Storm Vector in the included solid kydex sheath. It is enhanced with an individual 'dangler'. As such it hinges with regards to your belt or backpack. As such it will never get in the way. Incredibly practical!
