The **TSPROF Venev two-piece diamond-coated sharpening stone set** is a basic sharpening stone set for the TSPROF sharpening system. With this set you will always have the most important sharpening stones close. From extra coarse to re-profile the blade to fine to sharpen the edge. These sharpening stones have a diamond concentration of 25%. This ensures that the sharpening stones quickly and effectively remove material and also leave you with even sharpening results.

 In these diamond-coated sharpening stones the diamond particles are bound in a binding agent. Despite the thin 1.5 mm sharpening layer you won't quickly need to replace this sharpening stone. The binding agent and the diamond sharpening particles are rock-solid and can handle wear and tear.

 ### This set is comprised of:

 
* 1 x 160/125 and 50/40 micron double-sided diamond-coated sharpening stone 25% (extra coarse and coarse)
* 1 x 20/14 and 7/5 micron double-sided diamond-coated sharpening stone 25% (medium and fine)

### Russian microns

No grain on a sharpening stone has exactly the same size. A sharpening stone is comprised of millions of sharpening particles. In the real world these sharpening particles never have the same size. Even if the manufacturer carefully sorts them by size, there will always be a certain range of dimensions. That is why Venev states that this sharpening stone has an average grain size of 200 to 160 micron.

 
* 160/125 and 50/40 micron double-sided diamond-coated sharpening stone corresponds with a J110 and J300 grit Japanese sharpening stone.
 * The 20/14 and 7/5 micron double-sided diamond-coated sharpening stone corresponds with a J600 and J2000 grit Japanese sharpening stone.
 
### Use and maintenance

The sharpening stones work best if you add some water to the surface. As you use them the sharpening stones can be contaminated with metal particles. Fortunately you can easily remove those with hot water and a sponge.
