With this **Wüsthof Classic santoku knife 14 cm** you end up
with the pefect knife for the more detailed cutting tasks. Especially developed
to prepare Sushi and Sashimi, but it can do much more than that.
Finely cutting herbs is also a piece of cake. And
because the blade is enhanced with dimples small
'air bubbles' are created. As such food does not
stick to the blade.

## Wüsthof Classic blade: razor-sharp stainless steel


The blade made from chromium-vanadium steel (X50CrMoV15) is forged from one solid piece of steel. It is sharpened according to Wüsthof’s PEtec technology. This means that for each blade a sharpening angle is determined with the help of a computer. Afterwards it is precisely sharpened on a wet sharpening stone. After thorough inspection each knife leaves the production line, ready for a life of intensive use.


Wüsthof processes the steel in a specific way to make sure it has a high hardness of 58 Rockwell. As such the knife retains its sharpness for a really long time. However, if you notice that the knife is not as sharp as it used to be, all you have to do is move it over a honing steel. The result is a razor-sharp knife that is amazing to use.


## Wüsthof Classic handle: sustainable and hygienic


This knife is a combination of a forged blade and an ergonomic handle made from black POM, a very sustainable type of plastic. The handle can withstand all substances you find in the kitchen. The handle was traditionally and seamlessly riveted to the blade with three rivets. As such dirt can never accumulate in between the blade and the handle. The crop protects your fingers from unnecessary contact with the edge. What more could you possibly ask for?


## Wüsthof Classic: the classic Wüsthof collection


The Classic is the most extensive Wüsthof collection on the market today. It is comprised of over 80 different kitchen knives, amongst which different sizes of chef’s knives, bread knives and carving knives. Because this collection has the most versions of all possible knives, you can easily comprise your own perfect knife set. A knife set with a knife block of chef’s case is, of course, also an option.

Ik kocht dit mes omwille van de kuiltjes die zouden beletten dat tomaatschijfjes of andere zouden blijven plakken aan het lemmet.
Tot nu toe is alles al blijven plakken aan het lemmet.
Het mes op zich is handig en scherp maar mist volkomen de doelstelling van de kuiltjes.

Een heerlijk licht mes om met name groente mooi en dun te kunnen snijden. Voor mij een goede aanvulling op het "gewone" groentemes en het koksmes. Hoewel er kuiltjes in zitten, plakt wat je snijdt nog steeds wel aan het mes. Wat minder dan bij messen zonder kuiltjes. Dat doet m.i. echter niets af aan het gebruik. Licht lekker in de hand.
