The **Wüsthof Ikon steak knife 12 cm** is a stunning steak knife with a luxurious look and feel. The edge is not enhanced with serrations, but is simply razor-sharp as a top-quality steak knife should be.

## Handle


This relatively exclusive Wüsthof collection is characterized by the remarkable handle material that was used. The handles are made from African black wood. This is a stunning dark type of wood that is also used to make wooden instruments such as oboes and clarinets. The grains in the wood make each product unique.


## Blade


Even though the handle is quite the eye catcher it doesn’t mean that little attention was paid to the blade. Like with other Wüsthof collections the blade is made from X50CrMoV15 steel, which was sharpened according to the PEtec method, and polished by hand. This type of steel is also easy to sharpen.


Another advantage of this blade is the crop. It doesn’t extend all the way to the edge, but does separate the handle from the blade. As such you not only keep your fingers safe, you can also use the entire edge. Also great when you want to sharpen the knife.

Schönes sehr scharfes Messer. Ist für mein Gefühl etwas leicht liegt aber gut in der Hand. Ich würde mir es wieder Kaufen. 

Super scherp ,chique mes  , vrij prijzig maar zeker  de moeite waard.

We measure the sharpening angle ourselves. This value is the angle per side.  So 20º means that the total angle of the edge is 40º. Please note that knives are almost always sharpened by hand, even in factories. This value is therefore only an indication of a single tool measured by us.
