The **Benchmade Bailout 537GY-1** is a light-weight and solid pocket knife. The 537GY-1 Bailout is a larger version of the famous Benchmade Bugout. One of the best EDC knives ever produced, designed for hikers who pay attention to every gram.

 This improved version of the Bailout is, without a doubt, another Benchmade home run. The first thing you notice is the handle. It is made from top-quality aluminium instead of grivory. The result is a more solid handle. The scales are enhanced with a diamond pattern for additional grip and a green anodization for additional flair. Benchmade also added a glass breaker to the backspacer.

 Benchmade used CPM M4-steel, instead of CPM 3V. A type of tool steel that retains its sharpness well. M4 is also really tough and, when compared to other types of super steel, relatively easy to sharpen. The only thing you need to pay attention to is rust: CPM M4 isn't corrosion resistant. To counterbalance this Benchmade enhanced the blade with a grey Cerakote coating.

 The 537GY-1 Bailout is a part of the Benchmade black class collection, and designed as a tactical knife for first responders and soldiers. This is clear when you look at the blade. The tip of the blade has a tanto shape, perfect for self-defence and penetrating tasks.

  The Benchmade 537GY-1 Bailout is enhanced with a slightly shorter deep-carry pocket clip. Less steel means less weight: another detail Benchmade thought carefully about. You can, of course, place the clip on both sides to make sure left and right-handed users can easily use the knife.

Ce couteau est parfait robuste léger très faim il procure de bonne sensations a son utilisation en tout type de situation je le valide à tous les amateurs de bon EDC

Zunächst ein großes Lob an K&T. Schneller kann man man kaum versenden!

Zum Messer:
Positiv finde ich das Konzept an sich. Sehr schlank und gleichzeitig stabil. Die Materialien und das finish des Messers sind sehr gut. 
Tantoklinge ist Geschmacksache, Ick komme damit bis jetzt gut zurecht.
Leider ist der Anschliff der Schneide auf dem kurzen Stück nicht symmetrisch und der Klingenstand nicht mittig. Hier würde ich für ein Messer in dieser Preisliga etwas anderes erwarten! 
Ich habe es benutzt bevor ich es wirklich realisiert habe, ansonsten hätte ich es getauscht. Das spricht nicht für die Qualitätskontrolle von BM. In der Preisliga muss die Messlatte aus meiner Sicht deutlich höher liegen.

Grundsätzlich gefällt mir das Messerkonzept aber sehr gut und ich ich hoffe, dass mein Modell eine Ausnahme ist, daher trotzdem 4 Sterne in der entsprechenden Kategorie.

Het mes is wel erg gevoelig voor roest heb ik het idee. Het benchmade logo dat in het mes is gegraveerd vertoont vrij snel verkleuring van roest. Dit is er wel makkelijk af te poetsen.
