The Böker Magnum Rockstub 01SC710 Brown Micarta, pocket knife is a nice EDC knife in the colour brown, black. With its blade length of 6.7 cm, it's a compact pocket knife that effortlessly fits inside your pocket. You can also notice this in the weight of 80 g. Opening the Böker Magnum Rockstub 01SC710 Brown Micarta, pocket knife with one hand is very easy thanks to the thumb stud. Once opened, the sturdy Crossbar Lock ensures that the blade is locked and won't accidentally close during use. A cool feature of this lock is that it can be easily used by both left-handed and right-handed users.

The name 'Crossbar Lock' is a generic term for locks of this type. The foundation of this mechanism was the Axis Lock as developed by Benchmade. Today, several manufacturers happily make use of the same mechanism, though sometimes under different names.



## Blade made of 440B steel
The blade of this Böker is made of 440B. This is a tough and stainless steel that is easy to sharpen, retains its sharpness pretty well and is very affordable. It might not be anything to write home about, but it's good quality.



The blade features a blackwashed finish. For this finish, the blade is first finished with a coating, then tumbled. This makes the blade look like it has been around for a while, kind of like jeans. A big advantage of this is that traces of use will be much less noticeable.



## Micarta handle

The handle of this Böker Magnum is made of micarta and measures 9.7 cm in length. Micarta is a great material for pocket knife handles. This material is grippy, relatively lightweight and it looks very cool. It is composed of fabric fibres and synthetic resin. The resulting layers often even make micarta look a bit like wood. However, it is a very stable and strong material.

How i overlooked this little beauty is beyond me.

Fits the hand well, great balance, and nice sharp blade.

The texture on the handle is great, nice and grippy.

Just can't decide if this will be a worker or a daily use.

Le système axis lock est très agréable, facile a ouvrir, la lame reste verrouillée en position fermée et en position ouverte.

Relativement lourd par rapport a la longueur de la lame, peut etre un peu lourd pour une utilisation en bivouac alpinisme mais c est la rançon pour la solidité.
Le manche est très agréable, le motif texturé aussi.
